Tip: Dogs fur

Dogs fur - and what one can do with it

Now it comes again - the hot season. The summer stands before the door and our dog already begins with the fur change.

Now it is important that one curries his dog regularly and so the hair he otherwise would distribute in the whole house gets collected in an ordered way. The housework is facilitated thereby quite a lot. Who names a Malamuten his own, knows what I mean with this.

The currycombs facilitate the fur change of the dog, the loose and superfluous hair is removed as quickly as possible. What, however, with the whole heap of hair to do ?

For the waste they are actually too bad, because from it some useful things can be produced.

The hair can be helpful e.g. with the eviction of martens. Simply a few bundles scatter where the marten stays loving gladly. As long as he perceives the dog's smell, his hiding place is discovered and he searches a new one.

During the nest time of the birds a few hair can be scattered for the birds well visibly. Also birds love a breath of luxury and fit out their nest gladly with soft dog's hair. These give to the young birds a warm and convenient place and it also lies essentially more comfortably than in a nest produces with only branches and twigs.

Farther pillows with it can be stuffed. These pillows should well be against rheumatic complaints. Why not produce a quite special Christmas ? Who can state already that he possesses a pillow with Malamute-hair ?

For the completely extremes here still another suggestion: win yourselves, nevertheless, simply wool from the hair. Possibly some addition of sheep wool must be done. Then from it the most different things can be knitted, as for example a pullover or a jacket. I could admire some cord things produced from Samoyede-hair what has impressed me very much. Also out of this wool a very individual and special Christmas present can be made, even if the production of the wool has its price (cleaning of the hair, production of the wool, etc).

Please, do let, however, still the necessary hair to your dog and do not shear him to get the amount of dog-hair required for the wool, he is, finally, no sheep. Nevertheless, it would be sad if you would have to draw a garment to him instead of the fur. After some time you will possess certainly the necessary amount of dog's hair.
